How to score a badminton
For the past week we have been playing badminton in PE. Today I am going to tell you how to score a game of badminton.
You can play badminton in singles or pairs. There are smaller lines for a single match and wilder/deeper lines for a doubles match.
If you hit the shuttlecock over to the opposition side, and they don´t hit it, but it lands within the court lines, you score a point.
If a server is unsuccessful in hitting the shuttlecock over the net, or the serve doesn't go diagonal, its a point to the other team and they get the next serve.
If you hit the shuttlecock out of the court/lines, its a point to the other team.
If you dont hit the shuttleckock, or dont hit it back over the net, and it falls to the ground on your side of the court, its a point to the other team,
The first team to reach 21 points wins the game. There are usaslly 3 games played, so you might win 3-0,2-1 or 2-0
If the teams are both on 20 points in a game, the winner must get two points ahead to win, eg. 22-20

The springbok tour protests
What is another word for apartheid? The state of being apart.
Why did the protesters need helmets? To protect their heads from the police's long batons and throwing stuff over protesters.
Why do you think being called honorary whites upset the maori all blacks?Maybe because they were maori's not whites and didn't like being called the honorary whites.
Why do you think the Hamilton rugby game cancelled?Because the protesters were running on the field chanting "THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING"
Do you think this protest was successful? Why?Why not?I think the protest was successful because Nelson Mandela said the sun has come out.New Zealand helped end apartheid and Nelson Mandela ended apartheid.
How do you think New Zealand protests helped nelson Mandela? In the story it says New Zealand helped end apartheid and Nelson Mandela saw them protesting so he decided to end it in South Africa I think.
FACTS
During one of the games there was a flour bomb test and droping a lot of flour bombs onto the field and players.
More than 150,000 people took part over 200 demonstrations in 28 centers, and 1500 were charged with offences stemming from these protests.
In many ways okaying of rugby took a back seat in protest 1981.
Rugby fallout from the tour for some commentators, these events were a watershed in our view of ourselves.
Alot of people tried stoping the spring bok tour and they had shields and flour bombs.
